What is a skill?
Are we born with skills?
Are skills learned in school, taught in colleges, or adapted from family?
At Skill Aid India Foundation (SAEIF), we recognize that skills are essential for success in today’s competitive landscape. A skill is the practical application of knowledge—the “know-how” to perform tasks effectively. While innate talents and potential exist within everyone, our education system often overlooks the practical aspects of skill development, leaving many graduates struggling to find employment despite having degrees.
This disconnect creates a pressing need to bridge the gap between education and employment. Our mission is to empower youth by focusing on four key pillars:
Effective communication is vital for success, whether in interviews or professional interactions. At SAEIF, we prioritize building essential soft skills such as presentation, public speaking, and effective expression of ideas to help youth articulate their knowledge confidently. We believe in the power of multidisciplinary collaboration. Our participants come from diverse backgrounds, creating a vibrant environment for interdisciplinary exchange. Our advisors and guest speakers are subject matter experts from various industries, enriching our program with their insights. This broad perspective enhances participants’ analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, ultimately empowering them to become informed and engaged citizens of India.
While online resources are valuable, personalized guidance is crucial for contextualizing knowledge. SAEIF offers tailored mentorship to help individuals leverage their unique strengths and navigate their career paths effectively.
As an NGO registered with the Government of India under NITI Aayog’s NGO Darpan, we hold certifications under 80G, 12A, 10A, and CSR1. Thus, we provide participants with government-authenticated certificates upon course completion. This enhances their resumes and validates their skills to potential employers.
